Moylagh (Irish: Maigh Locha) is part of the parish of Oldcastle in the northwest of County Meath, Ireland. The parish is small but has received an influx of new residents in the past few years, mainly from Dublin and Eastern Europe.
Moylagh has a well-equipped community centre with Gaelic Athletic Association pitch ST. OLIVER’S Park [1], a training pitch across the road, two racquetball courts and an indoor soccer hall. The hall has played host to several all-Ireland racquetball tournaments, as well as drama competitions such as Scór na nÓg. St. Mary’s Church in Moylagh is a large 19th-century Roman Catholic church with an adjoining graveyard. They currently do not have priest since Fr. Eugene Conlan died in July 2009. Across the road from the church is Scoil Mhuire national school, which caters to the primary education of approximately 100 pupils, has a green flag and a hard working parents’ association.
